Every site is private, screened by mature oleanders rather than lined up in the open. The clubhouse has been newly renovated and keeps a cozy fireplace for the cool desert evenings; outside there's a heated pool, a heated spa, a poolside barbecue bar and a fire pit. There are horseshoe pits, a picnic area, and planned activities and potluck dinners for anyone who wants them.
Seasonal and long-term lot rentals are available, and new and used mobile and tiny homes are sold here too — so a visit sometimes turns into an address. California's largest state park starts at the end of the drive: over 500 miles of dirt roads and twelve wilderness areas.
